When is marshmallow skye coming out

I really like this book. At first i thought its gonna be weird if we read the story from another point of view, butt OMG i really like this one there's also a mystery in this book when skye was finding out about Clara. And this book makes me get the whole series better. Nov 11, Serena rated it really liked it. I like the way that Skye's so scared of reality, so she hides in her dreams, in her mind, where no one else can see.

I'm sure we've all done this at some time of our lives. Amazing book! Mar 11, Martha rated it really liked it. Aw this book was cute and sad at the same time. Skye is such a lovely girl, and I think out of all the sisters I'm most like her, because she loves history, and so do I, we look very similar and have the same kinda style.

Can't wait to read Summer's Dream!! Aug 04, Lucy rated it it was amazing. It's an amazing book and the main character in it is just like me It's an amazing book and the main character in it is just like me Feb 21, Neev rated it it was amazing Shelves: favourite. Dec 31, Kat rated it really liked it Shelves: internet-archieve. It was only when I was much older that I found she had wrote fiction. I enjoyed these as adult but would have loved to have read them as a teenager.

Cassidy really gets teenage girls and the voice of the main character felt very authentic and real and was therefore very relatable even to a reader who has let teenager years behind. I thought the other thing Cathy Cassidy did really well was to capture the different dynamics between this blended family. The series is called the Chocolate Box girls because their parents make chocolate, as well as running a bed and breakfast. This installment of the series features Skye as the titled character.

Skye has a twin sister I remember desperately wanting a twin sister as a teenager! One of the other main themes is boys and this did get a little repetitive and annoying at times, but for all the time dedicated to discussing boys there was very little outside of friendships between boys and girls and the odd kiss which I liked as it helped to keep some of the innocence of the characters the main character is only twelve and allowed them to define themselves outside of a relationship.

One of the huge strengths of the book is the capturing of the teenage voice and exploring the dynamics of at time dysfunctional family and friendships that are subject to change. Cassidy is able to explore exactly how Skye is feeling whilst always been able to show a certain level of respect to all the characters. This resulted in a book with a very good moral message that was still realistic. I would also recommend this as a next step for children have enjoyed books by Jacqueline Wilson such as Double Act and The Lottie Project as the next step up.

Mar 17, Aadi N rated it liked it Recommends it for: Anyone who loves middlegrade fiction. Cathy Cassidy has a unique style of writing that appeals to almost everyone and I am fan of hers because of this book. With each character having their distinct voices, the writing is dreamy and descriptive like Skye the protagonist. I haven't read the first book in this series and that might be the reason that I was a bit confused at the beginning about Honey and Cherry's behaviour to each other.

This book is about Skye the twin that feels overshadowed by her 'effortlessly cool' twin Summer. Bu Cathy Cassidy has a unique style of writing that appeals to almost everyone and I am fan of hers because of this book.

But when the spooky sad love story of Clara feels a little bit real, it all takes a turn. The most annoying boy has a crush on her twin, Mille her best friend becoming boy crazy and makeup obsessed overnight and Honey the formerly 'coolest sister' being all cold and cruel because of Shay and her dad. And for toppings there is Skye feeling that Millie is dumping her for Summer and the shadows of the past catching up with Skye.

Overall a high tension plot. Despite Summer's weird feeling about Clara's clothes found from the attic which are like cool vintage outfits Skye wears them and has dreams which are like snapshots of the life she never lived and the shadows of the sad past of Clara.

But when Skye starts crushing on the ghost boy or dream boy she is more determined than ever to find what really happened to Clara. Personally I liked Skye's cool and dreamy vintage personality and the story is quite relatable. Being second best is not something that you can always be okay with. Alfie's character was great though I was disappointed that my ship didn't sail.

But that's okay, happens. So totally fine. A thing that bothered me was the rather abrupt ending of this delightful book. I would have loved to know more about Jamie than the last one page or so.

And the original tension of the book, which is Skye being overshadowed by Summer, was not very relevant as it is not quite shown in the book and that was an issue for me. It these were all fixed then this would have had an easy 5 star rating from me. But for now a 3 star would have to do.

This was still quite cute, though it needed to decide whether it was going to go the supernatural route or not. Skye was very sweet, and her struggles with her identity, growing up and drifting to and from her friends was something that was very relatable when I first read these books - it makes a very interesting and endearing middle grade, that's for certain, even if I am past that point in my life now.

I liked how it still developed the other sisters at the same time, and dealt with young lov This was still quite cute, though it needed to decide whether it was going to go the supernatural route or not.

I liked how it still developed the other sisters at the same time, and dealt with young love and how to cope with it, but there were a few things that bothered me throughout - Skye never seems to verbally stand up to herself, and when she does it's made out that she's in the wrong when she snaps at Honey.

Everyone treats Honey like she can do no wrong and they have to be so careful around her that it was honestly a relief when Charlotte finally snapped at her, and even with Summer everyone was pandering to her to the point where even their own mother didn't recognise that Skye didn't really want a birthday party. Still, overall it was a very cute story, and I liked the ending where we got to see Finch, who seems like he'll be around for the summer - view spoiler [were the dreams foretelling the future?

Who knows - but I hope things work out for them. Dec 13, Tamara rated it liked it. As Skye keeps on trying to discover the real story of Clara, Summer gets worried about her being too stuck in the past. Will they break apart? Or will they stick together? The book ends with a cliffhanger that makes you want to read the next book immediately. But for me I felt as if the book ended abruptly. Otherwise, the story was great and there is nothing else to complain about.

Alas I revisit one of my favourite childhood authors : And believe it or not this is one Cathy Cassidy book I haven't read yet and so I thought I'd make my younger midget self happy by finally getting around to it.

Now, when you read Cathy Cassidy's books you expect to think of— I guess in a way— freedom, daydreams and happiness but what I got in Marshmallow Skye was a borderline creepy ghost story that made me happy but low-key give me chills. If only I read this during the period of time in my Alas I revisit one of my favourite childhood authors : And believe it or not this is one Cathy Cassidy book I haven't read yet and so I thought I'd make my younger midget self happy by finally getting around to it.

If only I read this during the period of time in my life where I was obsessed with ghost stories, I think I would've rated this a five stars. I know I'm not necessarily the target audience given I'm older than middle school age, but I found myself wondering what will happen especially after that sort-of cliffhanger at the end.

I also found also wondering throughout the novel if Finch would somehow magically appear from Skye's dreams or maybe she does a little Ronan Lynch and pulls him out of her dreams. Nevertheless I enjoyed reading from Skye's perspective especially about her aunt and her creepy old clothes.

Not going to lie here, I did low-key expect the ghost of Clara Travers to possess Skye and it sort did but not really. The chocolate Box girls serie is really a cute romance perfect for summer! And I have to say that I liked this one more than the first one.

In this book, we follow one of the twin Skye during a particular difficult time for her. She is growing and becoming slowly a teenager and the transition is quite difficult for her. I really liked Skye is this book because she is looking for an answer. And the ending was also quite surprising! George's Marvellous Medicine. Roald Dahl , Quentin Blake. Shockingly Good Stories.

Undercover Princess. Bluey: Christmas Swim. Daughter of the Deep. One Of Us Is Lying. Scaredy Bath. Kissed by the Moon.

Marcie Gill and the Caravan Park Cat. Monica McInerney , Danny Snell. Fart and Burp are Superstinkers. Allan Ahlberg , Janet Ahlberg. She talks about boys all the time, and daydreams about kissing one.

The class clown Alfie gets Skye to help him be irresistible to women, and over time, she discovers he is in love with Summer. Skye felt more alone than ever after that. At Christmas, Summer asks for a party - an idea Skye loathes.

But she kept quiet about it, placing all of her emotion in her dreams, which were becoming more and more vivid. Summer confessed to Skye she had a dream where Skye ran into the ocean in Clara's clothes and drowned herself like in Clara's story. When Skye wore Clara's clothes to their birthday party, Summer got annoyed with her. Halfway through the party, Skye sees Finch, the boy of her dreams, at the end of the hall. She follows him only to find out it was her imagination.

Exhausted, she curled up in the snow, feeling like she was drowning. Summer found her and Skye was taken to the hospital. What is the exposition in the story monkey and the turtle.
