Where is the icon glossary for blackberry

Back in days, I remember how difficult it was to help a friend over the phone to clear all notification icons from her new BlackBerry Bold home screen. If you are a new BlackBerry user reading this post or sending a link to fellow new BlackBerry user, do keep in mind that following icon set belongs to the standard themes which are built in with all new BlackBerry devices.

Also these indicators appear on the Home screen of your BlackBerry device or at the top of the screen in some applications.

Depending on your device model and wireless service provider, some of these indicators might not appear. Do you see any missing icon from the above list? There is one which is not listed above. I went to Sprint branch here and was asked if I could text that person and I did. At First no answer but after about five minutes I got reply with the same symbol with it.

Missed calls The missed calls icon shows that you have one or more missed calls. Any time there is a number next to these icons it refers to the number of messages that are waiting. This icon is usually blue with the BB symbol in the middle.

Many of the newer cell and smartphones will now feature access to social media through the use of social apps. These are usually Facebook and Twitter apps, though for most phones you can download additional apps that can cover MySpace, LinkedIn, and even those that combine all of your social media into one localized location.

Some BlackBerry phones may also have the ability to connect to online merchants, such as eBay and Amazon. As with many smartphones, BlackBerry users have the ability to further customize their device with an array of different downloadable applications from the BlackBerry App World. For example, the Yahoo! Mail app allows for an icon to appear within the notification area to alert the user when they have mail.
